Here is your Leeds United morning digest for Sunday, August 16.
Current line-up for opening weekend
Leeds fans are no doubt counting down the days until their return to the Premier League gets underway – and the good news is, they don’t have long to wait.
The start of the 2020/21 campaign is now less than a month away, with the action set to get underway on August 12 as the Whites’ 14 years in the wilderness comes to an end.
Ahead of that big kick-off, there will no doubt be plenty of speculation as to who will line up for Leeds in their opening game.
Hopefully, it will be Marcelo Bielsa who ultimately makes that decision, but Beren Cross has taken a look at who would currently make it into that all important first XI.
Check out who makes his side here.
Premier League rule guiding transfer strategy
It’s been a busy summer for Leeds so far in the transfer market, and things don’t look set to get any quieter soon.
Six new arrivals have already made their way to Elland Road, and if the rumours are anything to go by, plenty more will be following them.
The Whites have previously made good use of the loan market during their time in the Championship, with the likes of Ben White and Jack Harrison, among others, playing a vital part.
But the rules are much tighter in the top flight, meaning this summer’s plans have had to be slightly revised.

The major lessons from pre-season so far
The preparations for the Premier League are of course well under way, with the players back in training ahead of next season.
It barely feels like any time has passed since the Whites lifted the Championship title, and confirmed their long-awaited return to the top flight.
But they’re already preparing for the new campaign, having returned to Thorp Arch on Thursday as they begin the hard work once again.
And having been given a behind the scenes glimpse, there have been plenty of lessons to take away from their first days back in training.
