Kalvin Phillips maintained his record of playing every minute of England's Euro 2020 campaign on Tuesday night, turning out for the full 90 minutes as the Three Lions saw off Germany 2-0 at Wembley.
It was a landmark night for Gareth Southgate's side as it marked the first time that England have beaten Germany in the knockout stage of a tournament since 1966 as fans begin to dare to dream of seeing their side lift another trophy at Wembley Stadium next month.
Leeds United midfielder Phillips was also able to notch up a number of individual milestones. His selection meant that he was only the third Whites player to play in a knockout Euros clash, following on from Stuart Dallas in 2016 and Norman Hunter back in 1968.
And when the action kicked off, he went about setting another mark.
According to Opta Joe, Phillips' regained possession a whopping 11 times against the Germans - the most by any England player in a European Championship match since Tony Adams against Germany back in 1996. The former Arsenal man, of course, had an extra 30 minutes of extra time to achieve his mark of 13 recoveries.
Phillips' role in the middle also meant that he became only the second Leeds United player to turn out for England in a knockout stage win over Germany - the first being Jack Charlton in the 1966 World Cup final.
Next up for England is a Saturday night quarter-final against the Ukraine in Rome, but however the next 11 days pan out for Phillips and the Three Lions, the Leeds United homegrown hero is already in rarified company for his exploits this summer.
