Leeds United's under-23s side have seen their previously postponed Premier League Cup clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers rescheduled for next month, the club has confirmed.
Carlos Corberan's side were originally meant to face their rivals at New Bucks Head, the home of Telford AFC, on Monday, December 2.
The game however was postponed with a week's notice after Wolves progressed in the Leasing.com Trophy beyond the group stages, with them set to face Salford City on Tuesday night.
Now, their clash with United has a new date, with Friday, January 24, 2020 pencilled in for the pair's fixture, again at New Bucks Head.
After proving victorious in the Premier League Professional Development League Group North last season with their title-winning campaign United's under-23 side are looking to continue to push on to greater things this year.
They frequently field a number of fringe first-team players among their ranks and have proven victorious in their last three PDL encounters, against Barnsley, Wigan Athletic and Sheffield United.
Ryan Edmondson has netted in all three encounters too, as the forward, alongside Jordan Stevens, continues to press his credentials for a senior call-up by Marcelo Bielsa over the coming months.
Eddie Nketiah meanwhile featured against the Blades as the Arsenal loanee continued his recovery from injury last week, ahead of a second-half cameo against Middlesbrough.
The Whites' next under-23 fixture will now be a home clash at Thorp Arch against Sheffield Wednesday on Monday, December 9 as Corberan's side look to continue their fine form and make it four wins on the bounce in the run-up to the Christmas period.
