Leeds United's injury list and suspension list ahead of West Brom clash

Marcelo Bielsa will be looking for a reaction from his Leeds United side when they host West Brom at Elland Road on Tuesday night.

Saturday's defeat at Charlton Athletic saw Leeds slip to fourth in the Championship table, with the Baggies taking full advantage and moving to the summit after a win at QPR.

Leeds were without Pablo Hernandez at The Valley and Bielsa gave updates on the Spaniard and the rest of his injured players during a Monday lunchtime press conference to preview the visit of Albion.

Here is a look at Leeds' full injury and suspension list...

Pablo Hernandez - muscular problem,  out

The Spaniard remains sidelined with the muscular problem that kept him out of the Charlton trip.

"He is finishing his recovery," Bielsa told reporters at Thorp Arch.

The Whites head coach was then pressed on whether Hernandez would be available for this weekend's trip to Millwall.

"I couldn’t say that. I have to wait to know how his recovery has completed."

An international break follows the trip to The New Den, so Bielsa may look to ensure Hernandez can fully recover.

Adam Forshaw - hip, doubtful

Adam Forshaw missed Leeds' matches over Barnsley and Derby with a hip issue, but it looked like he was back to full fitness, as he played the second half of Satirday's defeat at Charlton.

But Bielsa revealed that the problem continues to bother the midfielder and that he would 'probably' not be in the squad to face West Brom.

"The last match before the international break he had a little problem and he cannot solve it at all," Bielsa said.

Jamie Shackleton has deputised for the former Middlesbrough man in his absence and is likely to get the nod again on Tuesday night.

Luke Ayling - ankle, available again

Ayling was injured ahead of the club's first pre-season friendly of the summer and would undergo ankle surgery which kept him sidelined for the opening phase of the season.

After playing twice for the under-23s a week ago, he played another 37 minutes on Monday, so is likely to be available against the Baggies.

Ayling may, however face a battle to reclaim his place in Bielsa's starting line-up, with Stuart Dallas turning in a number of excellent performances at right-back in Ayling's absence.

Suspension-watch

No Leeds players are walking a suspension tightrope just yet, with Adam Forshaw and Kalvin Phillips leading the way on three yellow cards each, meaning two more will result in a ban.

Jordan Stevens remains unavailable owing to his six-week ban from all football activities for breaching betting regulations.
