Leeds United's final squad numbers in full after the transfer window shuts

As there so often is following the conclusion of a transfer window, there has been plenty of discussion around which shirt numbers Premier League players will be wearing this season.

That is certainly the case at Leeds United where Dan James chose the number 20 following his deadline day signing from Manchester United.

It is the same as the number he has worn on a number of occasions when representing Wales and the one he had on the back of his shirt during his time at Swansea City.

The number was originally allocated to one of his new teammates last season and was only made available as a result of Rodrigo opting for ‘19’ for the current campaign.

The Spaniard’s new digits were freed up after his countryman Pablo Hernandez decided to leave Leeds for hometown club CD Castellón on a free transfer over the summer.

Junior Firpo, in true left-back fashion, picked number three after Barry Douglas’ departure to Lech Poznan was confirmed.

Meanwhile, fellow new boy Kristoffer Klaesson also followed a stereotypical trend by selecting the number 13 as Leeds’ back-up goalkeeper.

Surprisingly, two usually popular numbers have remained unused as both seven and eight are yet to be allocated to any first-team players.

The former became available following Ian Poveda’s season-long move to Blackburn Rovers while the latter has not been used since Vurnon Anita left two years ago.

Here is a full rundown of all the Whites’ squad numbers this season.
