Here is your Leeds United morning digest for Sunday, August 2.
Dream Premier League line-up
Leeds United are just over a month away from finally welcoming Premier League football back to Elland Road and plenty of work is required over the course of the coming weeks.
Marcelo Bielsa is set to dip into the transfer market to bolster his squad for the rigours of top-flight football and a host of names have already been linked with a move to join the Whites.
So how would potential recruits like Emiliano Martinez, Ben White and Edinson Cavani fit in? Would Ben Cabango, Joe Bryan and Nicolas Gonzalez be the signings required?
Those six players, among others, have all been assessed in a potential line-up for the Whites next season in what could be the 'dream' scenario.
49ers relationship detailed
Leeds United's partnership with NFL franchise the San Francisco 49ers has been under the spotlight once again, amid speculation they could increase their 10% ownership stake in the club.
Such plans have been confirmed by Paraag Marathe, president of the 49ers enterprise, who has spoken about how the relationship between the two sporting clubs could increase.
“It’s something that we are absolutely hoping to do. This is more about continuing the journey than it is about what the multiple on our investment is,
“You don’t want to just rush and go high — ‘Every player out now; we’re a Premier League club’ — and buy this and this and this player. Sometimes you want to build it organically and thoughtfully.”
Emmanuel Dennis 'negotiations'
Leeds United are rivalling Italian giants Inter Milan for the signing of Club Brugge forward Emmanuel Dennis, with both sides negotiating with the Belgian club according to journalist Manu Lonjon.
The 22-year-old has excelled in recent seasons, previously being linked with the likes of Arsenal, Brighton, Sheffield United and Monaco, amongst others.
However, Leeds are now said to be in the running and the suggestion that negotiations are underway suggests that there is significant movement on the part of the Whites.
