Leeds United's Cody Drameh stance amid Cardiff City transfer interest

Cardiff City are interested in taking Leeds United’s Cody Drameh on loan, but no decision has yet been made on the right-back’s future.

The 20-year-old made his fifth senior appearance of the season in Sunday’s FA Cup loss at West Ham United and could yet be needed more in the coming weeks as injuries bite at Elland Road.

Junior Firpo came off on Sunday with complaints of dizziness and he could be added to a lengthening absence list for the return trip in a week’s time if he does not recover quickly.

Liam Cooper, Diego Llorente, Pascal Struijk, Charlie Cresswell and Jamie Shackleton are all defensive options likely to be unavailable for next weekend’s match too.

With the possibility Drameh could then even start in the coming weeks, there is a decision to be made by Leeds on his next steps this term.

Steve Morison’s Bluebirds would like to take the England youth international on loan for the second half of the season, but Leeds sources have suggested nothing has been agreed at this stage.
