'More Scarface than It's a Wonderful Life' - Angus Kinnear on Leeds United documentary

Leeds United’s long-awaited Amazon documentary will finally be aired for the first time in three days.

The Whites’ fly-on-the-wall series, Take Us Home, will be premiered in the city centre on Wednesday night with a formal event planned.

In his programme notes ahead of Saturday’s lunchtime clash with Nottingham Forest, managing director Angus Kinnear confirms the show will finally be launched imminently.

“Finally, on Wednesday, August 14, an exclusive six-part Amazon Prime documentary will premiere chronicling Marcelo’s first season in charge,” he wrote.

“Take Us Home is narrated by Russell Crowe and provides unprecedented insight into last season’s campaign.

“While the ending, in cinematic terms, is undoubtedly more Scarface than It’s A Wonderful Life I believe the series captures the commitment, unity and passion that players, staff and supporters have for our club and should give everyone great confidence for the season ahead.”
