Leeds United rocked by injury to key player ahead of Wolves visit and international break

Injury has hit Tyler Adams and ruled him out of action until after the imminent international break. The USA captain will miss Leeds United’s trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday as well as his country’s CONCACAF Nations League double-header before the end of the month.

The 24-year-old suffered a hamstring problem in training at Thorp Arch this week and will now remain at the training ground for assessment. The Whites have not as yet put a timeframe on Adams’s recovery time, but supporters will hope he is back for the trip to Arsenal on April 1.

A club statement said: “Tyler Adams has sustained a hamstring injury in training this week and will therefore not be joining up with the USMNT for international duty after Saturday's game with Wolves. The midfielder will remain at Thorp Arch for further assessment.”
