Leeds United rivals' new kit 'prank' taken to next level in pre-season match

While all eyes were on Leeds United's pre-season clash with bitter rivals Manchester United in Australia today, fellow West Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield Town were making the headlines back home.

And it wasn't anything to do with football. Rather...fashion.

The Terriors unveiled their new kit today, after announcing new sponsor Paddy Power earlier in the week with this hilarious and bold advert.

And when the new home strip was released, fans were left wondering if they were still supposed to be laughing.

While many came to the conclusion that the whole thing was just a very elaborate prank, the game at Rochdale tonight suggested otherwise.

As you'll see in the photos share below, the players were donning the new kit, complete with 'sash-like' sponser sprawled across it.

So then, what did Huddersfield fans have to say on the matter and is this actually a joke?
