Leeds United right-back Luke Ayling signs new contract at Elland Road

Leeds United have confirmed that defender Luke Ayling has signed a new contract with the club.

The 28-year-old has put pen to paper on a new four-year deal which will run until the summer of 2023, as LeedsLive exclusively revealed last month .

Ayling has been at Elland Road since 2016, when he joined from Bristol Rovers for an undisclosed fee and quickly established himself as a fan favourite as he nailed down the right-back slot.

The defender has turned out 116 times for the club, scoring twice and has been working his way back from injury during the first two months of this season, turning out three times for the under-23s in the past fortnight.

He will hope to be involved when Leeds welcome to Championship leaders West Bromwich Albion to Elland Road tonight.

Ayling's deal comes after the club sealed new deals with Kalvin Phillips, Liam Cooper and Stuart Dallas over the past month.
