Championship gossip: Leeds United respond to Premier League club's offer for teen starlet as Sheffield Wednesday open talks

With Lee Johnson's new contract signed, sealed and delivered, Bristol City can get down to the business of the transfer window and reinforcing and improving a squad that came agonisingly close to reaching the Championship play-offs.

But, of course, the Robins are not the only club in England's second tier making moves in the market and although the play-off final is still to happen, bringing an official close on the 2018/19 season, there is plenty of speculation and gossip across the league.

Here are the latest rumours from featuring many of the teams City will be battling for promotion with next season.

Leeds United turn down bid

Leeds United have reportedly turned down a bid for attacking midfielder Jack Clarke.

MailOnline claim that Tottenham Hotspur have made a £10m offer for Clarke.

The 18-year-old made his debut in January and went on to play 24 Championship games for the club this season.

Bielsa wants to re-sign winger

Sticking with Leeds and manager Marcelo Bielsa reportedly wants to re-sign Jack Harrison.

Football Insider state that the Whites are eyeing up another temporary move for Harrison.

Harrison has returned to Manchester City but Bielsa remains eager to land the winger again.

Birmingham eye keeper

Birmingham City are aiming to acquire Ipswich Town keeper Bartosz Bialkowski.

The Daily Star report that Birmingham have launched a bid for the Polish shot-stopper.

His value is said to be around £1.5m, though Birmingham did offer £3m for him last summer before they were hit with EFL transfer restrictions.

Lowe in demand

Three Championship sides are chasing Portsmouth star Jamal Lowe, according to Mirror Sport.

It's said that the 24-year-old winger will leave Portsmouth this summer for around £2m.

Leeds United, Wigan Athletic and Cardiff City are believed to be interested.

Wednesday open talks with Spurs starlet

Sheffield Wednesday have opened talks with midfielder Josh Onomah over a permanent move to South Yorkshire.

Onomah was on loan at Wednesday last season and now the Owls want to land him on a permanent deal from Tottenham Hotspur, according to Football Insider.
