Leeds United reportedly tracking highly-rated Coventry City star

Leeds United are understood to be tracking highly-rated full-back Sam McCallum.

McCallum is currently plying his trade with Coventry City in League One, and according to the Coventry Telegraph , the Whites are monitoring him closely.

The 19-year-old joined the Sky Blues from non-league side Hearn Bay the summer before last, and has made eight senior appearances, including six start,s for Mark Robins's side this season.

The reports also states that around 25 scouts from higher placed clubs, one of which is believed to be Leeds, have been regular visitors to City games, home and away, so far this season.

Leeds were believed to be on the brink of agreeing a deal for Coventry's Jodi Jones last season. But the move was called off when the winger suffered a cruciate knee injury.

Callum Wilson and James Maddison are the Sky Blues' biggest successes in the last five years, earning the club millions of pounds after rising to the Premier League with Bournemouth and Leicester City and gaining England international recognition.
