Leeds United are believed to be keen to strike a deal with Udinese for Rodrigo de Paul but are scouring Europe for alternative options.
The Whites have been busy in the transfer market this summer with big-money spent on both Rodrigo Moreno and Robin Koch.
Jack Harrison, Illan Meslier and Joe Gelhardt have also arrived in less high-profile deals but Leeds' summer business is yet to be concluded.
Marcelo Bielsa is still keen to add another attacking midfielder and a centre-back to his ranks, with De Paul targeted to fill the first of those two voids in the squad.
However, talks remain ongoing with Udinese, with Leeds reported to have already agreed personal terms on a five-year deal, which prompted the Argentine to reject a move to Zenit St Petersburg.
Whilst negotiations on a fee for De Paul drag, Leeds have turned their attention to Fiorentina's Erick Pulgar, La Nazione via Sport Witness reports.
However, the report claims that the Serie A side view Pulgar as 'non-transferable' and their proposal has been snubbed.
It’s claimed that Leeds placed a £10million offer on the table for the player, but their proposal hasn’t convinced Fiorentina but a higher offer could convince them to reconsider their stance.
Should negotiations over de Paul prove futile, it's a potential avenue Leeds could explore.
