Leeds United have reportedly recorded their first positive coronavirus test following the EFL's latest round of testing.
The EFL confirmed on Wednesday evening that nine individuals from six clubs recorded positives tests from the latest round of Championship testing after a further 1,094 tests were carried out between Sunday and Tuesday.
Leeds United's policy is not to comment any test results from their players or staff, with the Daily Mail reporting that the club have recorded a positive test.
Sheffield Wednesday, Huddersfield Town and Preston North End have all confirmed one positive test from this latest fourth round, with the next set of results due at the weekend.
According to EFL protocol, any player who tests positive must now self-isolate for seven days and is not permitted to return to their club's training ground until they record a negative test.
Leeds United last week returned to training at Thorp Arch, initially working in groups of five before full-contact training was permitted this week.
The EFL announced a provisional restart date of June 20 on Sunday evening 'subject to the strict proviso that all safety requirements and government guidance is met'.
