Leeds United receive come-and-get-me transfer plea after being identified as perfect new club

Bournemouth winger Arnaut Danjuma has claimed he's outgrown the Championship and would like a move to the Premier League, namechecking Leeds United.

The Dutch winger netted 17 goals for the Cherries in 31 starts whilst also registering seven assists, despite missing a chunk of the season due to injury.

Danjuma was quickly recognised as one of the division's best talents and Bournemouth's failure to make an immediate return to the Premier League has left huge question marks hanging over his future.

The 24-year-old is contracted at the Vitality Stadium until 2024 and would command a sizeable fee, given his obvious talent.

Danjuma, though, has swung the door wide open for a potential summer move, admitting he would like to play for Leeds.

“Leeds is a bigger institution than Bournemouth, has a very nice history and they play Premier League," he told Dutch outlet Voetbal International.

"And I don't think I can play another Championship season, I've outgrown the competition a bit. Leeds United would be a nice step."

Leeds have been linked with signing a new winger this summer, with Club Brugge forward Noa Lang touted as a potential arrival, in addition to Jack Harrison.

The Whites are yet to open their chequebook this summer but targets have been identified and chief executive Angus Kinnear has insisted the club are pursuing deals.

"Our transfer window is well underway," Kinnear told BBC Radio Leeds last week.

"Our targets have been identified, work with existing players has already taken place and we're in a really good place, Marcelo and Victor are very confident they can each what they want to achieve.

"Everything is all under control, all the players want to stay, we want them to stay. There are discussions being had that we're very confident of retaining everybody."
