Leeds United presenter Emma Jones' brilliant response to fan wanting Mourinho to replace Bielsa

Leeds United presenter Emma Jones superbly put one fan in their place on live radio, after a bizarre suggestion that Jose Mourinho should replace Marcelo Bielsa.

Jones, who is a fixture on LUTV, was making her BBC Radio 5Live debut alongside Robbie Savage on Sunday evening and was met with a caller, also a Leeds fan, who called for Mourinho to take the reigns at Elland Road.

She managed to keep composed with her response, even with Savage trying to stir the pot in the background, to superbly shoot down the caller with a frank response - in what was an entertaining exchange.

“I think Jose Mourinho is absolutely wasted on punditry. I think he should be managing Leeds, he needs a challenge,” the caller stated.

Unimpressed, Jones' response was: “Bielsa, aka God, you would choose Mourinho over him? He’s done an incredible job with Leeds.”

The caller then added that he feels this will be the Argentine's last season at Elland Road, to which Jones replied: “Yeah, so this is the season they are going up!”

Not backing down, the caller finally stated that Leeds 'couldn't even beat Nottingham Forest' and this was the last straw for Jones, who issued a stern return.

“Hang on, that was a draw and the atmosphere at Elland Road is as if we had lost and that was because the bar has been set so high that we will not accept even a draw!

“Don’t thank Robbie! He’s slating Leeds United!”

And fair play to Jones for keeping her cool, particularly with Savage trying to get a reaction from her, and we certainly echo her thoughts on the matter!
