Leeds United player ratings with Luke Ayling superb despite late Man United goals

1 Illan Meslier

Not employed a huge deal beyond the need to clear some back passes, but stood up when he absolutely had to in a one vs one with Bruno Fernandes at the death of the first half. 7

2 Luke Ayling (c)

Has he had a better week in Leeds colours? Two successive performances in which he led the relegation battlers through the challenge of a Champions League-chaser and came out oozing with credit. Barely put a foot wrong again. Read danger so well, executed what he had to. Leader. 8

5 Robin Koch

Like the rest of the defence, stood up to be counted just as he did in midweek. Wout Weghorst never troubled him and even when it was Marcus Rashford going toe to toe with him he more than held his own. 7

39 Max Wober

Another very good performance from the Austrian, but marked down for that near-fatal error at the end of the first half when he gifted Fernandes a one vs one. Excellent organisation of the backline. 6

3 Junior Firpo

One of the best, if not his best performance in Leeds colours. Picked up his customary yellow card in the 18th minute, but kept his nose clean thereafter and never left his side in the lurch down the left. Got forward and played a role too. 7

28 Weston McKennie

Set the tone with a tackle that had Elland Road on its feet inside six minutes. Never stopped hassling and harrying. Big tackles, small steals all over the pitch. Could have been better positionally in transition at moments, but an all-round quality performance. 7

12 Tyler Adams

Moved very well alongside McKennie. Their energy was limitless across the park. Adams, as he has done all season, got about and turned over the ball so often. 7

10 Crysencio Summerville

The thorn in the visitors' side. Always seemed to be the attacker on the end of the efforts Leeds had on goal. Did virtually everything but score. 7

11 Jack Harrison

Got about the pitch and carried the ball well through open spaces. End product not always there. 6

29 Wilfried Gnonto

A little quieter by his high standards. Still showed some terrific touches, carries and passes, but the ball didn't quite sit up for him. 6

9 Patrick Bamford

Getting better. Strong, held up the ball and won his duels. Seemed the wrong point in the game to pull him off. 6
