Leeds United player ratings in Wolves fightback after Raphinha injury

Leeds United (4-4-2)

1 Illan Meslier

Virtually a spectator, even when he helplessly watched Hwang Hee-Chan turn the ball in from close range. 6

46 Jamie Shackleton

Steady afternoon for Shackleton, who largely kept Hwang quiet from open play. Was a decent option on the overlap, but no real say in the game in an attacking sense. 6

14 Diego Llorente

Kept Raul Jimenez quiet for long spells, even if the Mexican did his best to draw fouls and cards from the referee. Tried to provide telling distribution from deep, but rarely had Wolves worried. 7

6 Liam Cooper (c)

Very good game from the captain, who was strong in the tackle and nullified anything in his direction coming from Jimenez or Adama Traore. 8

15 Stuart Dallas

Much better from Dallas and something like last season's tireless displays. Did very well with Traore, who barely had a sniff all game. Showed good anticipation picking up loose balls. May have wanted more from himself when he did pop up in the final third. 7

10 Raphinha

Such a shame to see him go off with another injury on the list. We all hold our breath for an update on how he is next week. When he was on the pitch he was, again, relentless. Deserved a goal, an assist or just the team in the lead for his efforts. Was everywhere on the pitch, attacking the box, regaining possession in his own third and driving through the centre. 8

43 Mateusz Klich

Ticked over in the middle, but did not provide any of the spark needed to unlock the door for Leeds. 5

21 Pascal Struijk

Improved in the second half, but never really looked comfortable in this new role. An excellent centre-back, but does not have that natural inclination to be a creative presence in the middle of the park. It's the first touch, anticipation and speed of thought you see with more natural midfielders. 6

22 Jack Harrison

Another difficult afternoon for the winger. Shots were snatched, better options were ignored and he just wasn't clicking in the final third. Hard to ignore his wild dive on Nelson Semedo which ultimately gave the wing-back time to deliver a cross before the goal. 5

19 Rodrigo

Not at the level he showed in attack before the international break and found himself dropping into that deeper role he looks less effective in. Tired drastically in the final third of the game. Showed bottle to tuck away the penalty. 6

20 Daniel James

Experiment in the frontline did not work at all in the first half. Anonymous and starved of service. Wide in the second half, but no more dangerous for Wolves. 5

Substitutes

13 Kristoffer Klaesson

4 Adam Forshaw

11 Tyler Roberts (on for Harrison h/t)

Put himself onto decent positions, but was not able to craft the chances Leeds needed. 6

23 Kalvin Phillips

30 Joe Gelhardt (on for Klich 62min)

Excellent home debut for the teenager in the time he had on the field with the team playing as it was. As the pressure was poured onto the visitors in the last half an hour, Gelhardt was the man at the sharp end with the openings to bury. Denied an unforgettable debut strike by a good Jose Sa save. Won the penalty too. 7

33 Leo Hjelde

35 Charlie Cresswell

37 Cody Drameh

38 Crysencio Summerville (on for Raphinha 54min)

Does not get the same time and space at this level as he does with the under-23s. Had the will and confidence to try things, but nothing really came off for him. 6
