Casilla and Bamford poor again - how Leeds United's players rated in Wigan Athletic loss

Leeds United (4-4-1-1)

13 Kiko Casilla - five

Parried a long-range shot he saw all the way in the first half right back into danger and then saw a corner beat him for the match's opening goal. No goalkeeper can allow that to happen.

2 Luke Ayling - six

Pretty untroubled by a Wigan Athletic unwilling to commit too many men forward. Got forward more in the second half and did deliver a couple of decent crosses from the right.

5 Ben White - seven

Had Kieffer Moore in his pocket all match and did not deserve to be on the losing side. Recovered well to deny Moore a one-on-one situation in the second half after the striker looked offside.

6 Liam Cooper © - six

Steady game. Very aware of the pace Gavin Massey had to burn, but managed it well.

10 Ezgjan Alioski - six

A very quiet afternoon for the North Macedonian. A spectator for large periods as play focused down the right flank.

17 Helder Costa - five

Brought nothing to proceedings. A few sprints, but Tom Pearce looked comfortable. Continues to prove a frustrating investment.

15 Stuart Dallas - five

Again showed this may not be his most natural posting on a football pitch. Lacked quality, composure and vision across the final third. Did not bring the control the team needed once they went behind.

43 Mateusz Klich - six

Picked up where left off on Tuesday night with a decent display, bringing energy and fight to the game. Always provides an option for a team-mate.

22 Jack Harrison - five

Little to no end product aside from a first-half effort which pinged off a post. Loads of the frills, stepovers and tricks, but too often dwelled on the ball for too long before being crowded out.

19 Pablo Hernandez - six

The odd dink or cross-field pass, but there were too many locks to pick in a packed Wigan box.

9 Patrick Bamford - five

Another afternoon of decent chances being spurned all around the six-yard box. Tuesday's brace quickly forgotten by many.

Substitutes

1 Illan Meslier

7 Ian Poveda

11 Tyler Roberts (on for Alioski 64min) - six

Did well when you consider how little football, at any level, Roberts has played in recent weeks. Always looks like he brings something different to his team-mates when he's on the field.

28 Gaetano Berardi

46 Jamie Shackleton

48 Jordan Stevens

49 Oliver Casey
