Leeds United player ratings as Robin Koch and Max Wober shine in Brentford stalemate

Leeds United (4-3-3)

1 Illan Meslier

Not a huge amount of work for the goalkeeper to do, despite the pre-match concerns about the visitors' form. 6

2 Luke Ayling (c)

Dealt really well with Rico Henry in the main as the visitors' flying wing-back. Got forward and supported attacks well while keeping an eye on the back door. 7

5 Robin Koch

Commanding in his dealings with one of the league's best strikers. Can sometimes look a little fragile, but was strong and dealt well with Ivan Toney's physical approach. 8

39 Max Wober

A superb display in defence with a mixture of big tackles and composed passing which never exposed the side at the back. Tough act for Liam Cooper to replace on this evidence. 8

21 Pascal Struijk

Much more solid than his last couple of outings. Certainly helped by a robust unit around him. Might have wanted a little more from himself when he venture into the final third. 7

7 Brenden Aaronson

Some bright moments, but not quite clicking into place for the American at the moment. Caused some frustration in the crowd when attacks failed after his misplaced passes or errors. Still overplays at times. 6

12 Tyler Adams

Crushing everything in his wake once again. Mr Dependable. 8

8 Marc Roca

Better from Roca. Not quite as refined as Adams, but got around the pitch and broke up play. Still not quite seeing the surgical passing we might have expected when he arrived in the summer. 7

19 Rodrigo

No goal, but remains a leader on the field for the Whites. While the quality was not quite there in the first half, he was at the heart of the momentum which kept Brentford pinned back early after the restart. 7

11 Jack Harrison

Unusually let down by a heavy first touch and dodgy dribbling on a couple of occasions. Still need a bit more from him to get near Rodrigo or Wilfried Gnonto levels. 6

29 Wilfried Gnonto

Carried the ball with a threat still, but the end product did not quite materialise as frequently as in previous matches. 7

Substitutes

22 Joel Robles

3 Junior Firpo

9 Patrick Bamford (on for Rodrigo 79min)

Less time than he would have liked to have a say on the game. N/A

14 Diego Llorente

23 Luis Sinisterra (on for Aaronson 69min)

Some bright runs from deep, but nothing sat up for him. 6

24 Georginio Rutter

25 Rasmus Kristensen

30 Joe Gelhardt

42 Sam Greenwood (on for Roca 87min)

Late change. N/A
