Leeds United player ratings as Raphinha delivers deserved win at Everton

Leeds United (4-1-4-1)

1 Illan Meslier - seven

Not quite the Hollywood saves Jordan Pickford had to make, but saves there were. In all honesty, there were a couple he spilled which he has to hold onto at this level. Blushes spared when James Rodriguez failed to punish his botched clearance. Still, a clean sheet's a clean sheet.

2 Luke Ayling - seven

One of those to enjoy putting Alex Iwobi under pressure down the Everton left, but without reward. Battled with Richarlison and the Brazilian only got away on a couple of occasions. Excellent energy up and down the pitch.

5 Robin Koch - eight

Tremendous performance in the middle. Dominic Calvert-Lewin looks every inch the England striker he has become, so lively and so powerful,  but whatever he tried, however deep he dropped, Koch gave him nothing. Read the game so well to snuff out danger.

6 Liam Cooper (c) - seven

Not called into action as much as his central partner, but organised the backline well and proved a calming presence.

10 Ezgjan Alioski - six

Sloppy with the ball in attack at times, but nothing too criminal. Was marshalled by Stuart Dallas for much of the match and fitted in around where the Northern Irishman wanted to be in that left channel.

23 Kalvin Phillips - seven

Plenty of protection for the backline and filled in for the full-backs when they were caught upfield. Won't be happy with how many times Abdoulaye Doucoure and and Allan broke forward when they had the chance.

18 Raphinha - eight

Picked up where he left off against Arsenal. Like a puppy or a child in the playground with how energetic and bouncy he is around the pitch. Just doesn't stop moving and demanding the attention of defenders. Movement almost too good for his team-mates to notice at times. Got the goal he deserved with a lovely strike from distance when Everton sat off him for too long. Shouldn't look back from here. Should score regularly.

43 Mateusz Klich - six

Not as quite as central as he was against Arsenal and guilty of giving Doucoure and Allan too much space to drive from deep at times.

15 Stuart Dallas - eight

The only touches he gave James were ragged and pressurised. South American has obvious quality, but Dallas did not give him a moment's rest. Just followed him everywhere like a bad smell.

22 Jack Harrison - seven

Would have wanted more to show for the misery he inflicted upon Tom Davies and Iwobi down either flank. Hit the post unfortunately, but looked a real threat. His first touch and dribbling is such a weapon against out-of-position full-backs.

9 Patrick Bamford - six

Would have expected more of his finishing around the box. Again the chances were served up for him.
