Leeds United (4-1-4-1)
1 Illan Meslier - seven
In the grand scheme of things, for all of Jack Grealish's flourishes, the Frenchman did not have a lot to do in his box. Came out confidently for corners and free-kicks when he needed to. Luke Ayling bailed him out when he was beaten by Grealish.
15 Stuart Dallas - seven
Improved in the second half, but Dallas's distribution was poor in the first period and saw many of his decisions waste attacks or even put his own team-mates in bother in his own third. Struggled to live with Grealish in the first half, but England international was anonymous after the break.
5 Robin Koch - seven
Got caught out early by Ollie Watkins, but settled down thereafter and went under the radar. Went about his business and got the job done.
2 Luke Ayling © - nine
Tremendous display from the makeshift centre-back. Snuffed out so much danger and even cleared Villa's best chance off the line. Gave Watkins nothing. Headed what he needed to, made blocks and so many clearances. Vocal too.
10 Ezgjan Alioski - six
Was a good outlet down the left as he dovetailed with Jack Harrison to great effect, but composure was lacking at times and wasted a good number of openings in attack.
21 Pascal Struijk - five
Picked up a yellow too early for his own good and Marcelo Bielsa took evasive action and put him out of the firing line.
17 Helder Costa - six
Overshadowed by others in attack, but a decent shift and some decent carries in attack. Caught out a few times in defence as Matt Targett piled forward to double up on Dallas in defence.
43 Mateusz Klich - seven
Carried the ball so well through the middle. Made the link-ups the team needed him to. Annihilated John McGinn and Ross Barkley in the midfield battle.
20 Rodrigo - seven
Very bright from the Spain international, who again showed such good decision making in tight spaces. Off-the-ball movement central to creating the opener.
22 Jack Harrison - eight
So often the outlet for the team in attack and so it proved with the goals. Unlocked the door so many times and will have given Matty Cash nightmares down their flank. Much better from the Manchester City loanee.
9 Patrick Bamford - nine
Killer finishing from Bamford who encapsulated why he has been so highly thought of by so many people in the game over the years. Ruthless inside the box when his tail is up. Scrappy following-up for the opener which gave him confidence and then the next two are sublime finishes. That's six in six in the Premier League now.

46 Jamie Shackleton (on for Struijk 21min) - eight
The best we have seen from Shackleton in months. Settled in so quickly and linked up the play between midfield and attack beautifully. So important for his confidence and visualising himself in this team going forward. Tireless running and helped Klich win that midfield battle with McGinn and Barkley.
