Leeds United player ratings as champions go eight points clear with 27th win

Leeds United (4-1-4-1)

13 Kiko Casilla - seven

Not a huge amount he could have done about the Derby County goal after his defence failed to clear their lines. Targeted at set-pieces by the Rams and not always successful in coming for the ball. Steady and never under prolonged pressure. Good save from Jason Knight to keep Whites 2-1 up.

15 Stuart Dallas - seven

Seemed refreshed at right-back with much more space to play with. Always looked a decent out-ball for United down the right channel when they broke. Delivered a couple of excellent crosses in attack too.

5 Ben White - eight

Looks effortlessly composed when the pressure on, so in this environment, with the title sewn up, he was horizontal for much of proceedings. No dramas, no mistakes.

28 Gaetano Berardi - seven

Very solid and dependable before he was stretchered off a little after half an hour. Watched the second half from the stands, giving hope this may not be the end of his United stay just yet.

3 Barry Douglas - seven

Steady. Doesn't bring the pace and penetration of others at left-back, but passing and defending was just fine.

34 Pascal Struijk - seven

Perhaps the gem to come out of the run-in. Marcelo Bielsa seems to have found himself a proper alternative to Kalvin Phillips as the team's defensive midfielder. Strong, physical in the tackle, but has the delicate feet for probing passes too. A work in progress.

7 Ian Poveda - six

Lively and quick throughout the first half. Seemed to drift out of the match in the second period, especially after taking a heavy challenge. Was the object of Bielsa's attention throughout the first half, who coached him through various patterns.

46 Jamie Shackleton - seven

Finally that precious first Whites goal for his hometown club. Took it emphatically too. Did as we expected in the middle. Very busy. Tireless. Tenacious.

19 Pablo Hernandez (c) - eight

All the passes from the Hernandez picture book. A joy to watch. Ran the game.

10 Ezgjan Alioski - six

Steady from Alioski. Nothing major of note in either box. Ran diligently all afternoon and made Jayden Bogle's life very hard.

11 Tyler Roberts - six

Another audition in the striker's role, but no better than Patrick Bamford. Ran the channels, but not as hard as Bamford. Movement not always asking questions. Decision-making around the box not always there either. Greedy at times.

Substitutes

30 Kamil Miazek

Like White, so, so relaxed in this environment. Seemed to be talking through the whole match. A running commentary.

22 Jack Harrison (on for Poveda 77min) - N/A
