Leeds United play-off dates confirmed as Frank Lampard's Derby County lie in waiting

Leeds United will take on Derby County in the Championship play-off semi-finals.

Despite losing 3-2 at Ipswich Town on Sunday afternoon, Marcelo Bielsa's men sealed a third-place finish and will now play a two-legged semi-final against the Rams, after their booked their place in the final play-off spot with a 3-1 win over West Brom.

Leeds ended the campaign on 83 points, nine points ahead of Frank Lampard's side, with Leeds having done the double over them during the regular season.

A 4-1 win for Leeds at Pride Park back in August was followed by a 2-0 victory at Elland Road in January, which was played out amid the background of the Spygate saga, which means this upcoming two-legged tie will have a juicy slice of narrative attached to it.
