Leeds United pay tribute as Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II passes away age 96

Leeds United have paid their tributes after the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The country’s longest reigning monarch died Thursday at the age of 96.

The country is now set to go into days of mourning after Elizabeth’s reign of 70 years on the throne. Leeds released the following statement onto their official Twitter account: Everyone at #LUFC is deeply saddened by the passing of Her Majesty The Queen, Elizabeth II.

“We join the world in sending our thoughts and sincere condolences to the @RoyalFamily. Rest in Peace, Your Majesty.”
