Leeds United outcast secures fresh transfer deadline day loan move

Leeds United forward Rafa Mujica has secured a fresh loan move to Las Palmas after his spell at Real Oviedo was terminated.

The 22-year-old arrived at Elland Road from Barcelona in the summer of 2019 but is yet to make a first-team appearance and is now on the fourth loan spell of his Whites career.

A month after joining the club he went on loan to Extremadura, before spending the second half of last season with Villarreal's B team.

His stint at Real Oviedo comes to an end after he made just five appearances, netting twice. The Spaniard has 18 months left on his Leeds United deal.

A statement on the Leeds United website read:

"Leeds United forward Rafa Mujica has joined Spanish Segunda Division side, UD Las Palmas on loan until the end of season.

"The 22-year-old has recently been on loan at divisional rivals Real Oviedo, where he scored twice.

"We wish Rafa the best of luck during his time at the Estadio Gran Canaria."

Leeds are expected to secure more outgoings today before the window shuts at 11pm.
