Leeds United news as Under 23s beaten at Manchester United and Leicester City latest team news

Here are your Leeds United evening headline on Saturday, November 6.

Leicester team news

Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers is hoping to have four players back available for his side's trip to Leeds this weekend.

The Foxes could be handed a boost ahead of the clash, with James Maddison and Harvey Barnes set to be fit to face the Whites after missing the Spartak clash through illness.

Rodgers is also optimistic that Ricardo will be ready to return from a problem he picked up in the Carabao Cup penalty shoot-out win over Brighton & Hove Albion last week.

All three should be available for a trip to Elland Road, where Wilfred Ndidi is in line for his first start since September after recovering from a hamstring issue.

"Hopefully the players who were out should be back and available, Harvey and James Maddison," Rodgers told lcfc.com.

"Obviously, Wilf Ndidi got some game time, which is great. Ricardo Pereira should be fine also, so we should get a few players back for the weekend.

"(Ndidi) is very important for us from a defensive perspective, he covers a lot of space in the defensive moments where you need a player to get back in. He's a very important player for us and it’s great to have him back."

Jackson reflects on Under 23s loss

Mark Jackson believes that his Leeds Under 23s side need to 'trust in the process' to ensure they turn around their poor recent form.

The Whites' defeat at Manchester United was their fifth in seven matches and although the result didn't go to plan, Jackson was happy with what he saw performance-wise.

"We didn't get the result. We know that. We challenged them to do that but we didn't get it. It's what we need at the minute but there's no way we're going to change how we play," Jackson told the Yorkshire Evening Post post-match.

"As a staff, a club and a group of players we have to trust in the process. Trust in how we play. Believe in it. Stick to it and it will turn for us.

"They've left everything out there on the pitch. They gave it their all but we've been undone by a bit of quality. I'm sure when we look back it could've been avoided."
