Leeds United news as Stuart Dallas formally switches position for 2021/22 Premier League season

Dallas the midfielder

Leeds United's Player of the Season for 2020/21 Stuart Dallas has seen his position formally changed on the popular Fantasy Premier League game, operated by the Premier League.

Dallas had a hand in ten Premier League goals last season, and was listed as a defender on the game's website - meaning he was eligible for more points than his midfield counterparts whenever he contributed in an attacking sense.

As a defender, he was also eligible to receive clean sheet points whenever Leeds shut out their opponents.

This season however, the Premier League have announced Dallas will be listed as a midfielder, given that is predominantly where he featured last season.

A full price list has been released of Leeds United players' values in the game ahead of next season.

Gunn hijack fails

Earlier this month, it was reported Leeds United were making attempts to hijack Norwich City's deal to bring English goalkeeper Angus Gunn back to Carrow Road.

Gunn has spent the past three years with Southampton, including a brief loan stint with Stoke City, but looks set to return to Norfolk where he spent much of his youth career.

HampshireLive's Tom Leach claims a medical is booked ahead of a £5.5 million move.

Gunn was supposedly being eyed by Leeds as competition for undisputed first-choice Illan Meslier.

That no longer looks to be viable with Gunn apparently set to join the Canaries for an initial £2.5 million, rising by an additional £3 million in performance-related add-ons.

Six-figure deal set to be completed

Leeds United U23 defender Oliver Casey is rumoured to have agreed personal terms ahead of signing off on a deal to join Championship side Blackpool this summer.

Football Insider claim Casey is expected to complete a deal worth just under £1 million in the coming days, to join Blackpool and boss Neil Critchley who is known to be an admirer of the young centre-back.

Casey made two first-team appearances for Leeds United last season, in cup defeats to Hull City and Crawley Town.
