Liverpool deal for Raphinha 'impossible'
Journalist and transfer specialist, Fabrizio Romano has been commenting on Liverpool's attempt to bring Raphinha to Anfield before this season started.
"Raphinha was first on their list but it was impossible as Leeds were asking for far too much money," the journalist told Empire of the Kop.
The Whites were not interested in selling their star attacker and he has been on top form this season, with his six goals key in keeping Marcelo Bielsa's side above the relegation zone.
Radrizzani speaks out on takeover story
In recent days details have emerged on an agreed deal for 49ers Enterprises to complete a full takeover of Leeds United.
The Athletic broke the original story and this morning they followed up with further details of the deal, which drew a response from current majority shareholder Andrea Radrizzani on Twitter.
"For someone as good as you I expect more!" Radrizzani wrote. "Aser has option to void the call (effect before 2024) but the main point is thay [sic] we are only focused on working together and growing Leeds United.
"Anything can happen between now and 2 years time (when many may have forgotten the article!)"
Leeds injury list for Chelsea clash
Leeds prepare to face Thomas Tuchel's Chelsea at the weekend with fresh injury concerns. Luke Ayling came through 90 minutes on his return but the Whites were missing Pascal Struijk against Brentford, as well as long-term absentee Robin Koch. During the game, both Kalvin Phillips and Liam Cooper were forced off with injuries which look like ruling them out for the Chelsea clash.
