Leeds United news as ex-Premier League star claims £50m transfer heartbreak could strike again

Here are your Leeds United morning headlines on Tuesday, November 15.

Ex-Premier League star claims Leeds United transfer heartbreak could strike again

After losing two of their biggest star players in Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha through the summer transfer window, Leeds United might have to prepare for another big exit according to former Premier League goalkeeper Ben Foster.

The 39-year-old suggested that Whites forward Rodrigo Moreno, who is in top form so far this season having already scored nine goals and found one assist in just 13 league games, could be on his way out of Elland Road.

The 31-year-old striker was not included in this year's Spain World Cup squad, despite his impressive start to the season, but is a seasoned international with almost 30 senior caps for his country.

Foster went on to say that Leeds have to try and pry other teams away but it might be difficult to with the amount of money some might be willing to pay for his services.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Foster highlighted that the Spaniard could fetch a price tag of up to £50 million if he continues playing the way he is.

"Rodrigo for Leeds, my gosh, this boy is on fire. What a season he’s having! They’ve got to hold onto him but again, Leeds seem to be that team where if somebody keeps smashing it, they’ll get bought. It’ll be £40-50 million quid or whatever it is."

Cody Drameh's Leeds United status report with his absence explained ahead of the break

Courageous as it was, Cody Drameh’s decision to stay at Leeds United and fight for minutes under Jesse Marsch has not yielded the appearances he wanted. The 20-year-old backed himself to compete with Rasmus Kristensen and Luke Ayling, but with both of them fit and firing, the former Fulham man has barely made the bench, let alone the pitch.

There was one moment of light for Drameh at Brentford, where an injured Kristensen and rusty Ayling opened the door for the youngster. While his 69 minutes were solid, Ayling would outshine him from the bench and after the enforced break Kristensen would be fit to return.

There have been regular outings in Premier League 2 with the under-21s, but in similar circumstances 12 months ago, Drameh sought a January move away. There was arguably even more of a pathway for Drameh last season, so when the transfer window opens again, he may be tempted to look for opportunities further afield.

Leeds United's Daniel James plays down Wales' World Cup clash with England

Leeds United loanee Daniel James has played down the importance of Wales' World Cup clash with England in the final Group B fixture. The two home nations have been drawn against each other and will face each other in similar fashion to the Euro 2016 tournament.

The two nations played in the second round of fixtures in that tournament, with Daniel Sturridge grabbing a late winner for the Three Lions in added time. However, it was Wales who would top the group and reach the semi-finals of the tournament.

England would fare better in the most recent European Championship last year, reaching the final and losing on penalties to Italy. For Wales, this is their first World Cup finals since 1958, something that James thinks will make the tournament that extra bit special.
