Leeds United news as Club Brugge star emerges as potential Raphinha replacement

Your Leeds United morning headlines for Thursday, June 23.

Whites eye Brugge ‘star’

Leeds United are monitoring Club Brugge star Charles De Ketelaere as one of several options to replace Raphinha, according to Fabrizio Romano. The 21-year-old scored 18 goals and completed 10 assists in 49 games across all competitions last season, and can play in a mixture of roles including striker, winger and attacking midfielder.

Romano tweeted: "Excl: Leeds are monitoring Bruges star Charles De Ketelaere as one of the options in the list, as Raphinha could leave for £65m. AC Milan are also interested in De Ketelaere since long time, part of the list. #LUFC"

Pre-season detailed

Some of the club’s first-team players will return for pre-season on Monday, five weeks after securing Premier League safety with a final day win at Brentford in May.

Returns to Thorp Arch will be staggered, with those who featured on international duty after the season finished allowed some extra time off.

Monday could see the likes of Patrick Bamford, Robin Koch, Jack Harrison and a certain Marc Roca on the turf, with just under two weeks in England before their pre-season tour of Australia.

Leeds play Brisbane Roar on Thursday, July 14 before matches against Aston Villa and Crystal Palace.
