Brugge boss provides Lang update

Club Brugge manager Phillippe Clement remains confident that Noa Lang will remain at the club amid fresh links to Leeds United.

Voetbal Belgie that the Dutch winger had agreed personal terms with the Whites, in what has been a summer-long saga.

However, Clement has insisted he has been given no update to concern him over Lang's future.

“Noa feels good here. I’ve not heard any rumours at the moment that there would be a different story, but you never know," he told the media.

"Of course, it will have to be for a lot of money because Club [Brugge] is ambitious and we keep raising the bar.”

Linked-midfielder close to Premier League transfer

Another of this summer's players linked with Leeds United looks set to have his future sorted.

Marcelo Bielsa confirmed in his pre-Everton press conference that it's "unlikely" that the Whites will bring any more players through the door this summer despite reported interest.

They have made three senior signings so far, with Junior Firpo the most notable from Barcelona, whilst Jack Harrison made his move permanent.

Having also been linked with Matheus Cunha and Josh Brownhill, Leeds could now see Ivory Coast international Maxwell Cornet move after initially making an enquiry earlier in the window.

Bielsa told to better ninth-place finish

Leeds United are gearing up for their first Premier League home game of the season, as they welcome Everton to Yorkshire on Saturday afternoon.

Marcelo Bielsa's side will be looking to bounce back from the 5-1 defeat at Manchester United and maintain their six-game unbeaten run at Elland Road.

It's poised to be an emotional day as the Whites are expected to have a full-capacity crowd back at their historic stadium for the first time since March 2020.

Most importantly they will want to deliver a positive result to those supporters and continue their progression under Bielsa's stewardship.
