Leeds United news as Brazil star Neymar recommends Raphinha for PSG move

Leeds United evening headlines October 28 2021:

Neymar recommends Raphinha for PSG

In his first ever international break with the Brazilian national team, Raphinha struck up a real rapport with his country's star forward, Neymar.

Both players set up multiple chances for one another across the three games and it seems to be the beginning of a partnership which will greatly serve Brazil. According to reports, this partnership is something Neymar would like to bring to his club, as he has requested that PSG sign Leeds' number 10.

PSG are currently extremely well stocked in the attacking department as they have Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Angel Di Maria to call on alongside Neymar. However, It is expected that Mbappe will leave on a free transfer, whilst Di Maria will turn 34 before the end of this season.

Leeds linked youngster sends Cody Drameh message

Leeds United were linked to Fulham's teenage attacking midfielder, Fabio Carvalho in the summer. Nothing came of the rumours and the young Portuguese has impressed in the Championship.

He sent a message to Leeds' Cody Drameh as the full-back posted about his first-team debut on social media as he played the full ninety minutes against Arsenal in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday night.

Carvalho and Drameh had both been in Fulham youth teams together and the Portuguese youngster wrote, 'couldn't be prouder of you brother' on his own Instagram story as he shared Drameh's post.

Leeds look to have come out on top of deal for £10m man

There has been a focus today on former Leeds man, Jack Clarke.

Leeds sold the winger for a fee of £10m after the 18/19 season - a fee which at the time some thought was cheap. However, it's now the third season of Clarke's time in London and it can only be said that Leeds came out on top of this deal.

Clarke has not made any impact on the Spurs side, making only four appearances in all competitions. He also has had three loans in the Championship since signing for Spurs and only made six starts across all of those.

The 20-year-old turned down multiple EFL loans this summer in order to attempt to prove himself to Nuno Espirito Santo but this has seemed to have backfired as he has only featured for 45 minutes in a UEFA Conference League game this season.
