Leeds United news as administrator comments on direction Andrea Radrizzani is taking the club

Krasner's verdict

Former Leeds United administrator Gerald Krasner has commented on the current state of Leeds United, describing Andrea Radrizzani's work in returning the club to the top flight as 'admirable'.

Krasner told PA Media, as quoted by the Independent: “With regards the current owner, I’ve nothing but respect and admiration for him.

"“Up to now, they haven’t put a foot wrong, but the nature of football is when you think it’s all going smoothly – beware," he went on to add.

Krasner has more recently worked with AFC Bournemouth, Port Vale and Wigan Athletic, in attempts to stave off liquidation.

Despite his history with Leeds United, the insolvency expert wishes the club well for the future, and said he was pleased to see it reinstated to the Premier League last summer.

Pablo's message to Berardi

Leeds United icon Pablo Hernandez has issued a goodbye message to fellow departing teammate Gaetano Berardi.

The two players are leaving Elland Road this season, with Berardi spending seven years at the club, and Hernandez five.

Revered for their role in the 2019/20 promotion campaign, both depart West Yorkshire with heavy hearts but recognise it is time to move on in order to allow the club to progress.

For Hernandez, he returns to his native Spain where he will rejoin his family, who he has been separated from for much of the 2020/21 season due to coronavirus travel restrictions.

In his farewell message to Gaetano Berardi, Hernandez says: "“Thank you to all the fans for these five years and thank you to Bera, it was a pleasure to share the dressing room with him and learn from him.

“I think he’s an example for all the players, his spirit, his behaviour on and off the pitch is an example for everybody and like I said before, I know you like a teammate but now I can say goodbye like a friend.

“I hope in the future you can continue with your career in a good way with your new club and who knows, maybe in the future we can enjoy it together again, in football anything can happen! It was a pleasure,” he told LUTV.

Sergio Ramos' Ben White remark

Speaking on the Phil Hay Show, Leeds United director of football Victor Orta let slip that supposedly Real Madrid centre-back Sergio Ramos asked 'who is this kid?' whilst watching Ben White at Newport County.

As quoted in HITC, Orta's words were: “The loan at Newport was really good and when we start to monitor because we were watching, to be honest I feel impressed.

“I remember in the first moment Sergio Ramos said ‘who is this kid? playing in the line of Newport’. And was really impressed."

White has gone on to excel at Elland Road, and with Brighton this season, earning himself a maiden England call-up.

White could end up at this summer's European Championships if he makes the 26-man cut-off, whereas Ramos has been left out of Spain's selection for the tournament.
