Here are your Leeds United evening headlines for Thursday, January 14.
Bielsa reportedly wants Traore
Marcelo Bielsa is reportedly keen on signing Wolves winger Adama Traore in the January transfer window.
Leeds have been linked with Traore for several months, and with the 24-year-old said to be a little frustrated with his lack of consistent starts, he could become available for the right price.
Via Sport Witness, Catalan outlet Sport, who have strong links with Traore, who is from the area, and his Barcelona-based agency, reports that Bielsa wants the attacker and names Leeds as the main destination should he move on this month.
The report adds that there are several other interested parties. Nuno Espirito Santo is reportedly not especially keen on losing the flyer and would demand at least €40 million (£35.4m) for a winter exit.
However, it must be said such a move to Leeds is highly unlikely.
Triple injury boost
Bielsa has received a triple injury boost ahead of Leeds' weekend clash with Brighton.
After dealing with a slew of injuries throughout the squad, especially at centre-back, where he has recently used Kalvin Phillips, Luke Ayling, and Pascal Struijk in emergency cover, Bielsa will welcome two first-team centre-backs back into the Premier League fold.
Both Liam Cooper, who played 45 minutes against Crawley last weekend upon his return, and Diego Llorente are available for selection, as Bielsa confirmed in his press conference on Thursday.
Speaking on the fitness of his returning players, Bielsa said: "Llorente, Roberts and Cooper are all available."
Premier League Covid meeting
Bielsa and Cooper will attend a meeting with the Premier League this week regarding new protocols to deal with the latest strain of Covid-19, as reported by The Athletic.
Players have been criticised in recent weeks for their behaviour with respect to the pandemic amid a series of breaches as questions are asked whether elite sport should continue during the country's national lockdown.
Such breaches include hugging, celebrating goals and swapping shirts, while several footballers were pictured on holiday or enjoying festive parties during the Christmas period.
The UK topped 100,000 deaths on Wednesday, only increasing the scrutiny on the Premier League and elite sport.
Leeds' match against Southampton, originally scheduled for Wednesday, January 20, has already been postponed due to Covid. Southampton's FA Cup third-round tie against Shrewsbury Town was rescheduled for the midweek slot after the League One side dealt with a Covid outbreak last week, forcing them to miss the initial date.
