Leeds United needed to 'get on with it' - pundit reacts to controversial moments in draw with Nottingham Forest

Pundit Stephen Warnock has had his say on two of the controversial moments from Nottingham Forest's 1-1 draw with Leeds United.

The Reds battled back to take their first point of the season thanks to Lewis Grabban's goal.

Leeds felt Grabban fouled Liam Cooper in the build-up to Forest earning the corner from which the former Bournemouth striker got his opening goal of the season.

Former Leeds left-back Warnock agreed, but felt his old club had every chance to stop the away team scoring in the moments that followed.

"Grabban pulls away at Cooper, it doesn't get given so get on with it. There's a lot to deal with," he said on the EFL on Quest highlights show.

"The ball comes into the box. You've got to clear it.

"(Kalvin) Phillips has the chance to clear it, it ricochets everywhere and goes in. Leeds have got to do better."

To rub salt in the wounds, Leeds were adamant they were then denied a penalty when Jack Robinson kicked Stuart Dallas in the box.

Warnock felt it was 'incredible' a spot kick was not given.

"I don't know how it's not given. It's incredible. It’s incredible how the assistant referee on the far side does not see this incident," he said.

"I think from Jack Robinson’s point of view, he doesn’t change his body shape, doesn’t falter at all, just carries on.”
