Leeds set to battle Premier League rivals for £20m Benrahma
The Express report Leeds will get the bidding under way for Brentford forward Said Benrahma, who is expected to depart the club after their failure to secure promotion.
The Algeria international, who scored 17 goals and registered nine assists last season as the Bees finished third and runners-up in the play-off final, is said to be on the radar of a number of Premier League clubs.
West Ham United, Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace are also interested in the 24-year-old, who is valued in the region of £25million by Brentford.
The latest report suggests that Leeds will make the first move with a bid in the region of £20m.
Ben White reacts to Goal of the Month award
Sky Sports have named Ben White’s volleyed effort against Charlton Athletic as the goal of the month for July.
The Brighton and Hove Albion centre-half finished his loan spell at Elland Road in style with his first and only goal for the Championship champions, showing excellent technique to control the ball on the edge of the box and strike it into the top corner.
“I’m delighted to win Goal of the Month,” he said.
“This was my only goal of the season in the final game and it was a great moment for me.
“We went on to lift the Championship trophy that night to end the season on a real high.”
Leeds plot Hull raid for highly-rated midfielder
The Whites will look to capitalise on Hull City’s relegation to League One by looking to sign Leonardo da Silva Lopes, report Football Insider.
The 21-year-old midfielder is expected to leave the KCOM this summer, having established a good reputation amid the toiling Tigers’ struggles on the pitch last term.
West Bromwich Albion are also said to be interested in the player’s signature, as are MLS side New York Red Bulls.
