Here are your morning headlines for Wednesday, November 25.
Leeds in the hunt for Musah
Leeds are one of several Premier League clubs to have shown an interest in Valencia winger Yunus Musah, according to 90Min.
Musah is a product of Arsenal’s youth academy with the Gunners, Everton and Wolverhampton Wanderers all said to be keeping a close eye on his progress in Spain.
Musah is already a first-team regular at Valencia and will celebrate his 18th birthday on November 29.
Earlier this month, he became Valencia’s youngest goalscorer when he struck in the 2-2 draw against Getafe.
Leeds may find it difficult to prise Musah away from the Mestalla, though, as Valencia are preparing a contract extension for the United States international.
Orta outlines expansion plans
Leeds United director of football Victor Orta has outlined his plans for global expansion.
Leeds recently announced a new partnership with US-based entertainment company Roc Nation as Orta looks to grow the club’s presence in North America.
And Orta has added that he is also hoping to grow in Asia as he works towards returning the Whites to European competition.
"We want to grow in the States, we want to grow in Asia,” said Orta.
“It’s one of the partnerships that shows where Leeds United is now, the year of the returning to the Premier League, [it's about finding] what kind of companies are going to find synergy with us."
"I feel really proud to make history [with promotion] and obviously I now feel relief because Leeds United are in the Premier League and that is the first step.
"Obviously we need sustainable growing and perhaps with sustainable growth we can put this team in a European competition in two or three years."
Ferdinand on Holding’s reaction to Leeds draw
Rio Ferdinand believes Rob Holding’s response to Arsenal holding out for a draw with Leeds is an indication of how fortunate the Gunners were to escape Elland Road with a point.
Arsenal held out for a scoreless draw after Nicolas Pepe’s dismissal early in the second half with Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds unable to break the visitors down despite registering 25 shots.
And Ferdinand feels as though Arsenal ‘couldn’t believe their luck’ after seeing Holding’s reaction to the full-time whistle.
"I can understand that but I’m sure they will be looking for more because they were very fortunate to come away with a point because Leeds opened them up on numerous occasions.
"They couldn’t believe their luck.
"When Leeds came off that pitch, they were trudging off thinking, 'How the hell have we not won that game.'"
