Good morning, Leeds fans. Here are your morning headlines for Saturday, August 1.
Rose and Delph tipped for Elland Road return
Leeds United academy graduates Danny Rose and Fabian Delph have been tipped to return to the club this summer in a new report from the Daily Mail.
Rose never made a first-team appearance for Leeds before signing for Tottenham in 2007.
He’s since made over 200 appearances for the club, including the 2019 Champions League final, but could depart this summer, having spent the latter half of last season on loan at Newcastle.
Delph featured prominently in the 2008-09 League One season for Leeds, signing for Aston Villa that summer.
He’s since won two Premier League titles with Manchester City and been capped 20 times for England, but has struggled with injuries since signing for Everton last summer.

San Francisco 49ers look to increase Leeds stake
A new report from the New York Times claims that San Francisco 49ers will look to increase their stake in Leeds following the club’s return to the Premier League.
The NFL team has owned a small 10 percent stake in Leeds since 2018 but could be set to increase that over the coming months.
“It’s something that we are absolutely hoping to do,” 49ers executive Paraag Marathe told reporter Tariq Panja.
“We just knew that not only do they belong in the Premier League, but if they got to the Premier League, that the sky’s the limit.”
“The journey isn’t concluded,” he added, on the club returning to the top flight. “It’s just beginning.”

What Cook has said about Leeds-linked starlet Gelhardt
We’ve taken a look back on what Wigan manager Paul Cook has had to say about highly-rated rising star Joe Gelhardt, who has been strongly linked with a move to Leeds this summer.
Here’s what the Latics boss had to say after Gelhardt’s first senior goal back in September.
"I'm delighted for Joe and I'm delighted for everyone at the Academy," Cook said.
"To get on the pitch and make an impact in a game at Championship level like Joffy does, it will justify the feelings everyone has about the young man.
"He's got that special talent in football to create space in tight areas and you only have to look at his finish, the goalkeeper doesn't move.
"He's a great kid, he's a really nice young man and if he keeps working hard and keeps his head down, he's going to have a really bright future in the game."
