Leeds United morning headlines as Liverpool name Harry Wilson price, Ben White update

Here are your Leeds United morning headlines for Sunday, 9 August.

Leeds-target Wilson tipped for move

Former Leeds midfielder Michael Brown believes Liverpool’s Harry Wilson could move to another Premier League club this summer.

LeedsLive cite reports from the Liverpool Echo which state Leeds are one of three Premier League clubs who are plotting a move for Wilson, who spent last season on loan at Bournemouth.

“I had this discussion with someone at the weekend and we were talking about where he would end up,” Brown told Football Insider.

“Will he be in the Championship on loan again or will he move? The answer someone said to me straight away is ‘he will be in the Premier League.’

“He’s a respected guy in football and he firmly believes that Harry Wilson will be in the Premier League next year.

“There will be plenty of clubs looking at him and he’s got great ability. He’s still learning as well but he’s only going in the right direction, that’s for sure.”

Brighton reject Leeds bid for White

Leeds have had two bids rejected by Brighton and Hove Albion for defender Ben White following his successful loan spell at Elland Road.

LeedsLive cite Sky Sports as reporting that two offers have been rejected for White, with the Seagulls earmarking him for a first-team spot amid doubts over the future of Lewis Dunk.

It’s said that Leeds have now offered £22mililion for the defender, but Liverpool are also interested in a move as they seek to replace Dejan Lovren.

Manchester City youngster Taylor Harwood-Bellis is an alternative for Leeds if they cannot sign White, report The Athletic.

Scout report on Finn Ole Becker

Marcelo Bielsa is working hard to bolster the Leeds squad ahead of the club’s return to the Pemier League.

As outlined by Leeds Live, the Argentine was spotted with a scouting report for St Pauli midfielder Finn Ole Becker this week.

The 20-year-old appeared 34 times in the German second tier across the past two campaigns and has been at the Hamburg-based club since 2011.

The German is usually deployed either in the centre of the pitch or as a holding midfielder, and is renowned for his dribbling and creative passing.
