Leeds United morning headlines as fans send Luiz Filipe message and Jordan Lukaku eyed

Good morning, Leeds fans. Here are your morning headlines for Friday, August 28.

Leeds fans express Felipe excitement

Leeds United fans have expressed excitement over the possible arrival of Lazio defender Luiz Felipe.

The Whites have reportedly tabled a £27m bid for the centre-back after growing frustrated in their pursuit of Brighton & Hove Albion’s Ben White.

White, who spent last season on loan at Elland Road, is expected to sign a new contract with the Seagulls. Not that Leeds fans will mind if the club land the Brazilian.

Sealing Felipe’s signature may too prove difficult, though, with reported interest from Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.

Lazio are believed to want £34m for the 23-year-old, who has been at the club since 2016.

Whites ask about Lukau

Leeds have also enquired about the availability of Lazio defender Jordan Lukaku, per Il Messaggero .

Jordan, the younger brother of Inter Milan ace Romelu, has struggled to nail down a regular starting place for the Romans over the last two seasons.

Lukaku may be available for around £3.6m and could add further depth to Marcelo Bielsa’s attacking line in addition to the imminent arrival of Rodrigo Moreno from Valencia.

Lukaku has been with Lazio since 2016, managing only one goal in 83 appearances.

Koch relaxed about future amid Leeds link

Freiburg defender Robin Koch says he is not worried about his future amid speculation linking him with a move to Leeds.

As per Kicker , Koch has attracted interest from Leeds and Newcastle United following a stellar season in the Bundesliga.

However, the 24-year-old insists he is not thinking about his future as he prepares for the 2020/21 season as part of Freiburg’s pre-season training camp in Austria.

“I’m still here and I’m the type that I let all of this come my way and don’t worry too much about it. That’s why it all fits,” he said via Kicker.

Koch joined Freiburg in 2017 and made his Germany debut in a friendly against Argentina in November.
