Here are your Leeds United morning headlines for Sunday, 23 August.
Leeds chasing two Liverpool forwards – reports
Leeds United are ready to turn their attention to Liverpool striker Divock Origi if they cannot sign Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard.
According to the Daily Mirror, Celtic are not keen to let Edouard, who scored 28 goals last season, leave as they seek a record 10th Scottish Premiership title.
Therefore, Belgian international Origi is a target for Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa, as is fellow Liverpool forward Rhian Brewster, who the Whites would like to take on loan.
Leeds are light in their striker department, with Patrick Bamford and youngster Tyler Roberts their only real options.
Championship top goalscorer in Bielsa’s sight
Sticking with Leeds’ lack of forwards, The Athletic claims Marcelo Bielsa wants to sign Brentford hitman Ollie Watkins.
Watkins finished last season as the joint-top goalscorer in the Championship, on 26 alongside Fulham’s Aleksandar Mitrovic.
Watkins, 24, narrowly missed out on promotion with Brentford after they lost to Fulham in the Championship final – but he could find his way there with Leeds.

With the Premier League season set to get underway in three weeks’ time, Bielsa is keen to bolster his forward line before the big kick-off.
Leeds supporter wheely happy after meeting Bielsa
It is not unusual to see Bielsa pictured with Leeds fans on his travels across the city.
And the latest social media upload saw him come to the aid of a supporter who had picked up a puncture on his bicycle.
LeedsLive reports that the Argentine was more than accommodating for a quick photograph, but it is unclear whether he got himself involved in repairing the tyre.
Bielsa has been busy preparing his Leeds squad for the new season but he still has time to help out his fellow residents.
