Bruno Fernandes and Deco react to Raphinha transfer
There have been a number of interesting comments on Raphinha’s Instagram page after the Brazilian winger’s latest updates, following his deadline day transfer to Leeds.
“Welcome to the Premier League brother,” commented Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes, who played alongside Raphinha at Sporting Lisbon.
It could be an interesting reunion for the two players, now turning out for old rivals, who are set to meet for the first time in the Premier League since 2004 when Leeds travel to Old Trafford on December 19.
Meanwhile, former Barcelona and Chelsea star Deco, who represents the player and was said to be at Elland Road yesterday for the contract signing, simply went for three clapping emojis.
Raphinha’s first message a Leeds United player
Quick to initiate himself, shortly after the transfer was announced late last night, United’s new Brazilian winger posted a simple message on Instagram alongside a picture holding the famous white shirt.
“Marching on Together. Ready to get started,” he wrote, adding #LUFC and #MOT hashtags.
The 23-year-old arrives on a four-year deal, and appears eager to get started with life in England, having recently taken to social media to request English lessons.

Five players Leeds could still sign
Deadline day might be over, but only for Premier League and overseas targets.
If Victor Orta believes that Marcelo Bielsa’s squad still needs improvement, there’s always the potential of looking to the Championship or below, with the deadline of signing players from the EFL not until next Friday.
Norwich City’s Todd Cantwell is one man who’s been strongly linked with a move to West Yorkshire, and Leeds still have the option of making an approach to sign him over the next ten days.
Here’s four other potential targets Leeds could still look to sign.
