Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Bogusz seals season-long Spanish loan move

Leeds United midfielder Mateusz Bogusz sealed a deadline day loan move to Spanish side Logrones on Monday evening.

The 19-year-old will spend the rest of the 2020-21 campaign on loan at the Segunda Division side, who confirmed the move shortly after the 11pm deadline.

Bogusz has been a regular for the under-23s since his arrival from Ruch Chorzow in January 2019 and has made three appearances for Marcelo Bielsa's first team, with his debut coming in last season's Carabao Cup.

The Polish under-21 international will now get the opportunity for regular first-team football in the Spanish second tier.

Bogusz' Elland Road exit was one of two deadline day moves for Leeds United, as the club secured a £15million transfer for Brazilian winger Raphinha shortly before the 11pm deadline.

He joins Rodrigo, Robin Koch and Diego Llorente as Leeds' major first-team summer signings, while the club also snapped up a further six players for their under-23s set-up in what was a productive window on their Premier League return.

Other members of Mark Jackson's under-23s side will have the opportunity to secure domestic loan moves until October 16, when the EFL transfer window shuts.
