Leeds United loan watch as Robbie Gotts and Mateusz Bogusz stake their claims

With Leeds United picking up just one win in their last five Premier League games, Marcelo Bielsa could look to rotate his squad after the international break.

Bielsa will also be keeping a firm eye on the host of Leeds players currently out on loan across the EFL system and European leagues ahead of any potential early returns.

Leeds currently have 11 players out on loan in England, Wales, Scotland, Spain and Belgium and we look how the key names fared in the latest round of matches.

Barry Douglas – Blackburn Rovers

Douglas missed Blackburn’s 3-1 Championship home win over QPR on Saturday as he nears completion of a period of self-isolation.

The Scottish international has made two starts for Rovers after completing a season-long move from Elland Road and he is expected to return to the starting XI after the international break.

Robbie Gotts – Lincoln

Midfielder Gotts made his Lincoln debut in the 3-1 midweek League One defeat at home to Portsmouth before being withdrawn on 64 minutes at Sincil Bank.

He retained his place in Michael Appleton’s starting team for the Imps 6-2 FA Cup First Round win over Forest Green.

Mateusz Bogusz – UD Logrones

Polish U21 international Bogusz made his first start for Spanish Segunda Division side Logrones in their 1-0 win league away at rivals FC Cartegena.

The 19-year old had made two substitute appearances prior to last weekend and he will be hoping to hold on to his starting spot in the weeks ahead.

Jordan Stevens – Swindon Town

Stevens returned to the Swindon starting line-up for their shock 2-1 FA Cup defeat against Darlington after coming off the bench in midweek against Plymouth in the league.

The Robins are on the hunt for a new manager following Richie Wellens’ move to Salford City and Stevens will be aiming to impress the new boss in the coming weeks.

Bryce Hosannah – Bradford City

Hosannah’s impressive start to life at Valley Parade continued with back-to-back starts against Southend and Tonbridge in League Two and FA Cup games respectively.

The 21-year old looks to have established himself as first choice at right back for Stuart McCall’s side alongside former Leeds defender Paudie O’Connor.

Laurens De Bock – Zulte Waregem

Belgian defender De Bock made a late substitute appearance in Waregem’s 3-1 win at Cercle Bruges as Francky Dury’s side ended a seven-game winless run.

De Bock has been a regular starter for Waregem following his summer switch from Elland Road with a minor injury keeping him on the bench last weekend, but he is set to rejoin the starting XI when the domestic season returns.

Alfie McCalmont – Oldham Athletic

McCalmont returned to the starting line-up for Oldham’s 3-2 FA Cup win over Hampton & Richmond at the weekend after being benched in midweek.

He has featured regularly for Harry Kewell’s side in 2020/21 but he is yet to find the net for the Latics.

Ryan Edmondson – Aberdeen

Edmondson’s mixed start to life with the Dons continued as he was an unused substitute in their 2-0 Scottish Premiership win over Aberdeen.

The 19-year old netted a brace in their 4-2 win over Hamilton Academical last month but he has remained on the bench for their last two games.
