Leeds United loan watch as Helder Costa and Kiko Casilla's Spanish struggles continue

Leeds United's squad has been stretched to say the least this season but the club do have 10 players, ranging from experienced senior professionals to relatively untested young prospects, out on loan. The Whites are represented across Europe, although supporters will certainly be more interested in the progress of some than others as there are a number which do not appear to have futures at Elland Road.

However, Jesse Marsch's arrival could change the futures of some of the loanees, and it is a chance for those away to show their worth to the Whites. LeedsLive have assessed how each loanee did over the weekend.

Helder Costa

Costa was a late substitute as Valencia secured their third win in four matches against Elche on Sunday. The 28-year-old made his 19th La Liga appearance since joining from Leeds after he replaced Goncalo Guedes in the 86th minute.

Cody Drameh

It has been an excellent few months for Drameh following his loan move to Cardiff City in January. The right-back wasn't in action at the weekend, but provided an assist in Cardiff's 2-1 win over Stoke City last Wednesday and is gaining some much-needed first-team experience in South Wales.

Ian Poveda

The 21-year-old is still injured and completing his rehabilitation with Leeds but has recently seen his side drop from the automatic promotion places and down to sixth. Poveda has made eight appearances for Rovers and could still return before the end of the season.

Leif Davis

Davis missed Bournemouth's thumping 3-0 win over Huddersfield Town on Saturday with a hip flexor issue. The left-back suffered the problem in a narrow victory against Derby County earlier in the month and has missed the last two matches.

Kiko Casilla

It has been a pretty disastrous loan spell for Casilla during his time in Elche so far. The goalkeeper recorded three clean sheets in his first 15 appearances but lost his place in the side and hasn't featured since October.

Alfie McCalmont

McCalmont wasn't in the squad for Morecambe's 4-1 defeat against Wigan Athletic on Saturday. He started their previous two matches against Cheltenham Town and Shrewsbury Town but was ruled out of the game at the weekend through injury.

Elia Caprile

Whilst the likes of Casilla and Costa have found minutes hard to come by, Caprile has remained a mainstay for Italian outfit Pro Patria. He was given the nod once again for their Serie C meeting with Renate, with the game finishing 3-2.

Mateusz Bogusz

Bogusz hasn't featured since January 22 after sustaining an ACL rupture in Ibiza's 5-0 win over Malaga. The Poland midfielder was in scintillating before his injury recording four assists in three games.

Ryan Edmondson

After a bright start to his Port Vale career, Edmondson played just a minute in their 2-1 win over Bradford City and hasn't started in the last three games. The Valiants are in fine form, though, and currently sit a point behind the play-off places.

Kun Temenuzhkov

The forward is on loan at Spanish side Real Union and came up against UD Sanse at the weekend. He played the full 90 minutes but couldn't help his team from falling to a 1-0 defeat - their third on the bounce.
