Leeds United loan watch as Helder Costa and Kiko Casilla's contrasting La Liga fortunes continue

It was a difficult weekend of action for many of Leeds United’s nine players currently playing their football on loan from the club.

Only two of them were on the winning side, a further two were forced to settle for a draw and the other five all suffered defeats.

Here is how each of them performed over the weekend.

Helder Costa

In his sixth consecutive La Liga start for Valencia, Helder Costa was on the winning side as they defeated Elche 2-1 at the Mestalla.

He played 82 minutes before being replaced by Denis Cheryshev.

Kiko Casilla

For the fifth match in a row, Kiko Casilla was an unused substitute, this time against Costa’s Valencia side.

Leif Davis

Leif Davis was also an unused substitute as Bournemouth’s recent indifferent form continued with a 2-0 home defeat to fellow promotion hopefuls Blackburn Rovers.

Alfie McCalmont

Midfielder Alfie McCalmont continues to earn regular game time on loan at Morecambe as he played 90 minutes of their 2-0 defeat to Portsmouth.

Ryan Edmondson

Unlike McCalmont, Ryan Edmondson is still having to settle for a more bit-part role on loan at Fleetwood Town, playing the final 12 minutes of the 2-1 win over Gillingham.

Mateusz Bogusz

Mateusz Bogusz came off the bench for UD Ibiza as they were held to a 1-1 home draw by Girona as their winless run extended to five matches.

Laurens de Bock

Left-back Laurens de Bock captained his side to a 3-0 defeat against Jupiler League title hopefuls Club Brugge, with former Leeds target Noa Lang on the scoresheet.

Kun Temenuzhkov

Kun Temenuzhkov’s half-time introduction from the bench was not enough to turn the game in Real Union’s favour as they were defeated 3-0 by Racing Perrol.

Elia Caprile

It was another successful afternoon between the sticks for Elia Caprile as he kept his fifth clean sheet of the season for Pro Patria in a 0-0 draw with Mantova.
