Leeds United loan watch as Cody Drameh impresses and Kiko Casilla struggles for game time

Leeds United's squad has been stretched to say the least this season but the club do have 10 players, ranging from experienced senior professionals to relatively untested young prospects, out on loan. The Whites are represented across Europe, although supporters will certainly be more interested in the progress of some than others as there are a number which do not appear to have futures at Elland Road.

A 3-0 win over Watford made it a weekend to remember for the Whites, who stretched their unbeaten run to four matches in the process and are now looking stronger than ever under Jesse Marsch. Rodrigo, Raphinha and Jack Harrison got on the scoresheet on a fantastic afternoon for Leeds at Vicarage Road.

However, it wasn't so good for some of those Leeds players who are out on loan this season, while some also fared a bit better. So, with that in mind, Leeds Live have assessed how each loanee did over the weekend.

Helder Costa

Valencia are in action on Monday evening when they visit Rayo Vallecano, with the winger again named on the bench. Costa will be hoping to buck his recent trend of late cameos off the bench which has seen him play just 25 minutes across Los Che's last five matches.

Cody Drameh

Drameh and Cardiff City managed to bounce back from a hammering South Wales derby as they squeezed past Reading 2-1 on Saturday afternoon. The right-back played 90 minutes for the 15th successive game and is gaining some valuable first-team experience at the Bluebirds.

Ian Poveda

The 21-year-old is still injured and recovering from a serious knee injury, subsequently missing Blackburn's 1-1 draw with Blackpool at the weekend. It is being reported that Poveda could make it back before the end of the season but this is looking unlikely at this stage.

Leif Davis

It has been a difficult nine months for Davis following his season-long loan switch to Bournemouth last summer, featuring just 12 times in the Championship. The left-back has struggled with injuries and wasn't again included in the squad to face Sheffield United, where his side drew 0-0.

Kiko Casilla

After starting the opening 14 games of the season for Elche, Casilla has been used to a spot on the bench in recent times due to losing his place in the side. Casilla conceded just 15 goals in the process but hasn't featured since November thanks to the form of Lluis Andreu, who has impressed in goal.

Alfie McCalmont

The Northern Ireland international had established himself a a regular fixture in the centre of Morecambe's midfield but he hasn't played a minute since a 5-0 defeat against Shrewsbury Town last month, owning to injury.

Elia Caprile

Whilst the likes of Casilla and McCalmont have found minutes hard to come by, Caprile has remained a mainstay for Italian outfit Pro Patria. He was given the nod once again for their Serie C meeting with Feralpisalo. However, Caprile was unable to prevent a 2-1 defeat for his side.

Mateusz Bogusz

The midfielder was in superb form before suffering a season-ending injury back in January, scoring four goals and providing seven assists in 20 appearances. However, Bogusz's Ibiza still managed to pick him an impressive victory by beating Eibar 2-0 to send them closer to promotion from Spain's second tier.

Ryan Edmondson

The 20-year-old has enjoyed a fairly productive loan spell at League Two side Port Vale since joining in January and he played an important role as they beat Oldham Athletic 3-2 on Saturday. Edmondson set up the Valiants' second goal, knocking the ball down for Jamie Proctor to score.

Kun Temenuzhkov

The forward is on loan at Spanish side Real Union and came up against Cultural Leonesa, a club which Aspire Academy, who established a partnership with Leeds in 2018, have a majority stake in. Temenuzhkov, who has scored three goals in 23 appearances this season, was an unused substitute in a 1-0 win over Zamora CF.
