Leeds United will make a last-ditch deadline day swoop for Yasser Larouci, according to reports.
Our colleagues at The Mirror say the Whites are ready to pounce for the Liverpool left-back.
The transfer window slams shut on Monday night - that is the deadline for Leeds to sign players from fellow Premier League sides or abroad.
After that, they will only be able to recruit players from EFL clubs up until October 16.
Marcelo Bielsa's side are reportedly looking to offload Barry Douglas and that could open up a spot for a new left-back.
Liverpool would favour Larouci, 19, moving to a club in England. But Leeds would face opposition from rival clubs.
It would almost certainly be a permanent deal, rather than a loan arrangement, with his contract running out next summer at Liverpool.
The Algerian joined the Reds’ academy from French side Le Havre in 2017 after being granted international clearance.
He has made two senior appearances, both in last season's FA Cup.
The window closes at 11pm on Monday so Leeds are certainly leaving it late if indeed they choose to pursue the Reds' defender.
